it definitely old school B-movie style! how about changing the ink splash at the right top corner to red color? bloody-like instead of ink/ gasoline/ oil-like.. just a thought!

B movie? lol hopefully its not too low budgeted ;D I tried red, it looks even more watchmen.. oh yea i have a few of ur stuff worked out. I'll show you progress within these few days.
well, a 'B movie' approach doesn't have to be low budgeted.. hahah i like how they really create this style out back in 70 80's...
oh yea can't wait to see man! I just finished the 2d animatics- but have to cut down some shots..! erhhhh
